now that you know who we are
here’s how we care.
Midwifery Care
If you’re drawn to giving birth at home, in a space that feels safe and familiar, midwifery care might be a good fit for you.
Being at home allows for comfort, autonomy, and the ability to make informed decisions throughout your experience.
Birth is powerful work, and we’re here to support you through it.
here's how it works:
We start with a consultation, a chance to connect, answer your questions, and see if we’re the right fit for your birth.
Throughout your care, we support you with a variety of comfort measures like movement, massage, water, and breathwork to help you navigate labor in a way that feels grounded and supported.
Out of hospital birth often goes hand in hand with a mindful, low risk approach to pregnancy, and we’re here to support you in that without pressure or perfection.
Midwifery Care
If you’re looking to birth in the ease and safety of your own home, surrounded by your loved ones, midwifery care might be for you!
You’ll enjoy the comfort and familiarity of being home, along with the freedom and empowerment to make informed decisions regarding your birth.
While this might be the hardest thing you ever do, it’s also the most rewarding, and we’re here on the journey with you.
here's how it works:
You’ll first set up a consultation to determine whether we are all a good “fit” for each other. Each midwife is different, and we encourage all expecting mamas to reach out to at least three midwives to find their perfect birth team!
Mamas that seek out midwifery care are prepared to manage the intense sensations of birth with non-medical techniques, such as massage, aromatherapy, warm baths, breathing techniques, and other methods of support.
Seeking an out-of-hospital birth is a commitment to healthy lifestyle choices, such as balanced nutrition, positive physical activity, and low-risk pregnancy. But we won’t shame you for that late-night ice cream you had that one time. Even if it wasn’t just one time.
Your prenatal appointments include up to 45 minutes together in our office, with plenty of time for your questions.
Your visits are open to your whole family, and we love having your partner and children involved.
During birth, you’ll have the freedom to move, eat, drink, use a birthing pool, and follow your body’s lead. We are here for you every step of the way. Your comfort and safety, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, are our priority.
Birthing
What to Know
Our appointments offer the same standard of care you’d expect from an OB’s office, and more. This includes labs, vitals, urinalysis, ultrasounds, bloodwork, abdominal palpation, fetal heart monitoring, and ongoing support around your nutritional and emotional needs, with plenty of time to ask questions along the way.
You’re at the center of your care, and we’re here to support you with the information, space, and guidance you need to make decisions that feel right for you.

Midwifery
is different.
Midwives bring personalized care into your labor and birth, all in the comfort of your own home, allowing your labor to unfold naturally without the disruption of changing locations or unnecessary intrusion.
In the hours after birth, we support breastfeeding and give you time to rest and settle in with your baby.
Around two hours after birth, we’ll gently assess your baby from head to toe, take their weight, and offer newborn medications.
Once you and your baby are settled, we’ll help you get comfortable, tidy your birth space, pack up, and head out.
We’ll see you again for a wellness check 24 to 48 hours after birth, and your care continues with the same midwives who have been with you every step of the way.
Water Birth
Water has become a commonly chosen option for childbirth experiences.
Water can help your body relax and work with the sensations of labor.
It offers buoyancy, the ability to rest, and support for a variety of positions.
It allows your partner to be close, offer support, and be part of the birth.
Water can be used during labor in a variety of ways, including the use of a birth pool, which we provide.
