Meet the Living Water Birth Team
Our Midwife Team
Naomi Thomas
Licensed Midwife (LM), Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
Midwife & Founder
Naomi is a licensed midwife and co-founder of Living Water Birth. Her approach to care is deeply relational, faith-rooted, and grounded in the belief that pregnancy and birth are sacred experiences deserving of time, trust, and attentive support. She believes that birth is holy work and that time spent in relationship with others is always time well spent.
Naomi is a lover of people and is passionate about safe birth, adoption, feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and providing education for children and adults. Her heart for service extends beyond local birth work into ongoing support for families and communities in Haiti, where she continues to build relationships and serve alongside others.
I’ve been married to my husband, Ryan, for over 28 years, and we’ve been best friends since high school. We have five kids ranging from teens to adults, and our family has grown to include a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, along with two granddaughters. Our second youngest son was born in Haiti and joined our family through adoption, which has deeply shaped my heart. I love everything outdoors… mountains, rivers, sunshine, and a good hike, and you can usually find me with a strong cup of coffee in hand.
Bethany Adrian
Licensed Midwife (LM), Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
Midwife
With a background as a registered nurse and now practicing as a licensed midwife, Bethany brings both hospital and out-of-hospital experience to her care. Her approach is rooted in a holistic, relationship-centered model, and she believes that birth is a holy and transformative experience for everyone involved.
Bethany began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016. While that experience shaped her deeply, starting a family of her own led her to pursue a more holistic path and ultimately midwifery. Over the years, she has grown as a healthcare professional and discovered that out-of-hospital birth is where her heart truly lives, and she considers it an honor to walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
I am wife to my husband, Blake, my partner in all of life’s journeys and one of God’s greatest gifts to me. I am Mama to four wild and absolutely wonderful kids, and I am living in the midst of motherhood right alongside each of you. Our family is passionate about honoring the Lord and serving others, and after several years as foster, now adoptive parents, we are deeply invested in supporting the foster care community. In our free time, you’ll find us spending time outdoors, park hopping, and enjoying life together in the Texas Hill Country.
Amber Gaddy
Licensed Midwife (LM), Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
Midwife
As a midwife Amber is passionate about providing evidence-based care and supporting empowered decision-making for expectant mothers and their families. She strives to uphold the traditions of holistic care while balancing time-honored wisdom with modern medical advancements to safely support women throughout the childbearing year.
What drew Amber to midwifery was the ability to help women, including herself, make decisions about their healthcare without fitting into a box. She believes that every person should be an active participant in their own health. Over the past 13 years she has helped over 360 families bring their babies into the world.
“Outside of midwifery I love spending my time with my precious family- my husband Devon and my kiddos Lucca and Locke. I also love to weight lift, read, bake, and crochet.”
Our Apprentice Midwife Team
Our apprentices are hand-picked, bright, and capable. They work right alongside us as we get to know you at the beginning of your pregnancy, safely help you through labor and birth, and follow along as you adjust to the joyful milestones of being a new mom. They’re our friends, and they’ll be friends to your family, too. We’re so happy to introduce you to them!
Piper Tieman
Apprentice Midwife
Piper started apprenticing at Living Water Birth in the Fall of 2025. She is receiving didactic educational training through the Association of Texas Midwives, a three to four year program dedicated to training the next generation of strong, skilled midwives in Texas. She will be learning and training under the supervision of our licensed midwives through prenatal care, labor, birth, and postpartum care.
I have witnessed, over time, the deeply transformative process of becoming. The honor of walking alongside women as they journey through pregnancy & birth, stepping into motherhood, has drawn me to midwifery. I have had the opportunity to support women of various cultures, countries, and languages as they walk the sacred path of becoming, growing into the fullness of who the Lord created them to be. Through these experiences, I have come to see midwifery as a beautiful invitation to fulfill God’s design for women to support, uplift, encourage, and strengthen one another.
I am honored to be invited into this sacred season and look forward to caring for you with warmth and compassion along the way.
Denise Rangel-Holbrook
Apprentice Midwife
Denise is an IBCLC and senior student midwife in the primary phase of her training, with over 20 years of experience in reproductive healthcare. Her work is rooted in compassionate, relationship-centered care, with a strong commitment to informed choice, autonomy, and supporting the normal physiology of birth.
Denise’s path into this work began early in her own motherhood journey, shaping a deep respect for the body and the transformative nature of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Over the years, she has immersed herself in the birth world through clinical training, community work, breastfeeding support, and holding space for families during some of their most vulnerable and powerful transitions.
I enjoy life outside of birth work as a mother of two and a wife. I love slow mornings with coffee and music, time outdoors on hikes, and being with my pets. I also play the cello, enjoy cooking plant-based meals, and value rest, creativity, and staying connected to what matters most.

Heather Randolph
Midwife and Co-Founder
I was born in Texas, but we were a military family, so we lived all over the country. In high school, I met my husband, Eric, in Oklahoma, & we’ve been married for 15+ years. Together we have four beautiful kids & one grand-baby.
If you’ve seen me on social media at all, you’ve seen him & my loving family. With children ranging in ages from middle school to adulthood, I’ve run the gamut on child-rearing & birth decisions. Each labor was different as my knowledge & empowerment grew.
Informed decisions are the best decisions!
I’m deeply passionate about life, family, adventure, & so much more!
Often described as a jokester, I’m serious about not taking everything so seriously, & enjoying life to its fullest every single day. While some things require focus & strict detail, others could use a little light & laughter.
When I’m not helping mamas take over the world, you can find me eating junk food while watching movies with my family on a Friday night; chasing around the family dog or our goats around our 28-acre property in Hill Country; or dancing the night away with my husband at Floore’s Country Store.
I cherish the time with my friends when we drink a ridiculous amount of coffee & discuss everything under the sun.
I can’t wait to get to know you too!
Carley Hall
Apprentice Midwife
My name is Carley. I’m a Texas native and currently live in my hometown of Boerne, Texas with my two children and surrounded by family.
After my experience with an OBGYN during my first pregnancy and birth, I sought out more natural-minded experiences when it came to birth & parenting. When I became pregnant with my daughter in July of 2017, I sought care from a group of local midwives. I found my experience during pregnancy to be very comforting & healing compared to my first.
After I welcomed my daughter at the birth center, on my own time, surrounded by my favorite people, I was convinced that this journey was more than a personal experience for me.
With the support of friends & family, I started midwifery school in 2021. I had always wanted to help women and this is the way I want to do it. I look forward to connecting with fellow mothers and am honored to be a part of your pregnancy & birth journey.
